Positions Held 1. President of the Tumkur Municipal Council from 1942 to 1944 when he joined non-co-operation movement.
2. Was member, Mysore Representative Assembly in 1945 and then Constituent Assembly.
3. Was sent to Provisional Parliament in 1950 and elected to the State Assembly in 1952.
4. Was General Secretary of the Mysore Congress in 1955-56.
5. Was Home Minister in the Nijalingappa Cabinet after formation of the new State of Mysore from 1st November 1956 to 19th April 1957.
6. Elected to the Legislative Council in 1960 from the Mysore South-Graduates Constituency.
7. Appointed as Minister for Law on 14th March 1962, and on 7th June 1965 has been designated as Minister for Home.
8. Re-elected to the Legislative Council in 1966.
