  1. Was elected to the Lok Sabha in the third general elections from Tumkur constituency and resigned his membership with effect from 12th April 1962.
  2. Was subsequently elected to the Mysore Legislative Council by the Members of the Legislative Assembly.
  3. Appointed as Minister for Revenue on 14th March 1962.

  6. Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Food and Agriculture (July 12 to August 10, 1952).
  7. Deputy Minister, Food and Agriculture (August 11, 1952 to April 1957).
  8. Deputy Minister for Food from May 1957 till the dissolution of second Lok Sabha.
  9. Organised adult literacy campaign, mining labour and students in Mysore.
  10. Founder, Mulabagil Multi-Purpose Co-operative Society.
  11. Led students' movement in 1942 and was sentenced twice for political reasons.
  12. Travelled widely in U.S. S. R. and all Scandinavian countries, U. K. and France (1954) and China and Japan (1956).
