  1. Participited in ‘Quit India movement’ in 1942.
  2. As secretary of students organization brought new awareness in the younger generation.
  3. Eloquent speaker; was given a title, viz..‘Young Edmund Burke of Karnataka’ by the then President of Hubli Municipality.
  4. As a Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee member struggled hard to build up congress in rural areas.
  5. Founder of Hubli Taluka Rytha Sangha.
  6. Shows keen interest in Labour movement.
  7. Always fought for the opposed and the weaker sections.
  8. Strong supporter of prohibition policy.
  9. Worked for the upliftment of Harijans,Girijans and Backward Classes.
  10. General Secretary of Backward Class Cell.
  11. Member of the Board of Regent of University of Agricultural Sciences.
  12. Director of the State Fisheries Development Corporation.
  13. Working Committee member of Indian Asult Education Association.
  14. Director of city Improvement Board. Hubli-Dharwar Muncipal Corporation.
  15. Served as member of Assurances committee of Karnataka Legislative council.
  16. Member of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes’ welfare Committees of Legislature.
  17. Written many articles.
  18. Is the main stream of the new cultural life.
  19. Is a tough wrestler, shows much interest in folk arts and coracious reader of English and Kannada literature.
